ATLANTA – Sept. 25, 2015 – Talented and popular singer/songwriter Melodye Perry (from Los Angeles, California) has just released the new song “Still Breathing” (co-written with Los Angeles Music Producer Alex Teamer) for the upcoming faith-based movie “Blood Crushed Altar”.
The track moves with an emotion, rhythm and harmony sure to be “the right fit with the message that we are bringing to light in this movie,” says Terric J. Blair of BlueHawk 1540 Pictures.
The sultry, young vocalist has been performing since the age of eight with such artists as Chicago, Sheena Easton, The Eurhythmics, Cher, U2, and Michael Jackson to name a few. The last few years have rewarded her with roles co-writing and recording music for a variety of mainstream musical artists in the industry.
Recently, her music has been featured on MTV’s “Love & Hip Hop” and she has released multiple singles and music videos. She is in musical video rotation on MTV and VHI for the song “Tell Me That The Wait Is Over”.
She has also finished a 2015 recording with Paul McCartney and Lady Gaga and performed at the White House for President Barack and Michelle Obama on The PBS special “The Gospel Tradition 2015” with Lyle Lovett, Tamela Mann, The queen of Gospel Music Shirley Caesar and Aretha Franklin.
